BEIJING – China plans to establish sleep and mental health clinics in every prefecture-level city across the country by the end of 2025, a senior health official announced on Sunday.
Lei Haichao, head of the National Health Commission, shared the news during a press briefing held at the ongoing annual session of China’s national legislature. The expansion aims to address rising concerns about mental health and sleep-related issues, providing professional help for individuals experiencing psychological anxiety.
In addition, Lei revealed that a national psychological assistance hotline will be launched in all regions of China by May 1, further enhancing public access to mental health support services.
