Musical actor and singer Lee Ji-hoon recently shared his personal battle with a skin disease, revealing the challenges he has faced with psoriasis.
On November 15, Lee Ji-hoon posted a heartfelt message on social media titled “An Untold Story So Far.” In the post, the actor revealed that he has been suffering from psoriasis, a condition caused by immune deficiency, for the past 10 years. He shared that after much research, he began treatment at a dermatology clinic, which he found after his daughter, Roo-hee, became ill. “Thanks to the director’s careful attention, I’m gradually getting better,” he said, drawing sympathy and support from fans.
Lee Ji-hoon also mentioned that the condition had affected his ability to wear shorts, but he remains hopeful that with proper treatment, he will fully recover.
The actor further shared a touching update about his daughter, Roo-hee, who had previously been diagnosed with a rare condition known as farm disc disease. Lee Ji-hoon explained that Roo-hee had experienced severe discomfort during her RAY treatment, but has now fully recovered and is leading a happy, healthy life. “I am grateful to everyone who showed concern and prayed for her,” he added.
Previously, Lee Ji-hoon’s wife, Ayane, had described Roo-hee’s initial health struggles. She noted that the child had developed hives, which she initially thought was a simple diaper rash. However, the condition worsened, resembling chickenpox, prompting further visits to the pediatrician and eventually leading to a diagnosis.
Lee Ji-hoon’s candid post not only highlighted his personal health challenges but also the emotional journey of his family, especially in caring for their young daughter. Fans have expressed their support and admiration for the couple’s resilience.
