IHH Healthcare, one of Asia’s largest healthcare providers, continues to grow its network of hospitals, medical centers, clinics, and ambulatory services across 10 countries. Under the leadership of CEO Dr. Prem Kumar Nair, the company is focused on expanding its reach and embracing digitalization.
In an exclusive interview with CNBC’s Christine Tan on the latest episode of Managing Asia, Nair discussed the company’s growth strategy. “The biggest growth for IHH over the next five years will come from brownfield expansion,” he stated, referring to the group’s strategy of enhancing existing facilities.
Nair explained that the company plans to expand its operations in the countries it currently serves. “In most of the countries where we operate, there is an opportunity for us to add more beds, consultation suites, and expand our business,” he added.
During the interview at Mount Elizabeth Orchard in Singapore, Nair highlighted a key project in the company’s portfolio. IHH is investing 350 million Singaporean dollars in a major refurbishment of the hospital, with a focus on turning it into a “smart hospital.” Nair emphasized the hospital’s future capabilities, aligning with IHH’s commitment to technological advancements in healthcare.
